OUR HISTORY

1988

Welbilt France

It all began in 1988 with the first meeting between François Houpert, General Manager of Rosières' Foodservice division and Richard Hirsch, American captain of industry and President of the Welbilt Group.

Together they decided to open Welbilt's European division from France. In 1991, Mr. Houpert managed to convince Disneyland to equip itself entirely with Welbilt. In 2010, the group achieved a turnover of more than 500 million euros in Europe. Welbilt then became Enodis, which means "a world of solutions". Mr Houpert and his family decided to buy the entire French-speaking part of the group in 2010. Enodis is therefore a 100% French SME and family owned.
